How it all started The orphanage came into being in 1989 when The Reverend Dr. Jayaraj Krishnan and his wife Christy, took in 12 orphans to add to their family of three children. Christy and Jayaraj had both been brought up in Indian orphanages, and had individually and then collectively determined to dedicate their lives to helping orphaned and abandoned children. Since then, their compassion and Christian ethos has become the framework for the love and nurturing of over 2000 children. This figure grows annually, making them the second largest orphanage in India.
