“Every child has the right to an education which develops their personality, talents and abilities to the full. Primary education must be free for all children”. Unicef Report

ICMC wholeheartedly support the Unicef mandate for the right of every child to have an education. The orphanage has four government accredited schools providing a Christian education for all the children. Despite always passing inspection visits, Christian institutions such as ICMC do not receive any grants or financial help from local or national government.

Local fee paying students help to support the free education of the orphans.

Currently being educated are:

·         400 children in primary school
·
450 children in junior school
·
600 children in senior school
·
100 children in vocational training
·
150 students studying for degrees

Many of the degree students are studying to become teachers and nurses.
