Visiting health teams from the UK and Northern Ireland help the mission's doctor monitor the health of all the children, ranging from dental and optical check-ups, immunization programmes, HIV screening, growth patterns and leprosy.

Along with our commitments to child sponsorship we wish to raise funds in the coming year for the new Christian Mission Hospital currently under construction, with 250 beds and 20 treatment rooms. This much needed resource will also provide care to the poor of Salem.
